Can you reuse your original glass window or do you have to order a new one with the new top?

    Thanks,

  2. I was just told by a gentleman who owns an upholstery shop while getting an estimate for my dads 68 GS that you can reuse the glass, you just have to stitch it into the new canvas

The glass rear window is hermetically sealed....you can reuse the rear window set-up.....vinyl/glass combo. In FL the rear glass set-up last for 2 conv tops...so you can re-use it once. The glass itself can not be cut out and resealed to new vinyl/material.....you have to buy a new rear window set-up and those run about $100-140.

If you end up needing a new rear glass with black vinyl, I have one I will sell you for $75 plus shipping. Located in Dallas if you want to pick it up locally.

Thanks for the info guys! I should be picking up my "new" 71 Skylark convertible soon. Still trying to decide on a black or white top.

    James,

If I go with a black top I'd be interested in your back glass!

    Thanks,

Do you still have this available? I think I'm going back with a black top and might want it. Do you know what brand it is?

    Thanks,
    Brandon

    Brandon,

Yes, I still have it. I am not sure who made it but I can check the box to see if there is a name on it.
