gm certification label

    it the build date on the gm certification label the same as on the cowl tag?

    NO. The date on the label would match the invoice date. My cowl tag is 03D and my label is 4-70

    The GM certification label (or blue VIN tag) was affixed to the car upon final assembly (mating of the body and the chassis), which typically took 2-3 weeks after the body was completed (which is the cowl tag date).

    Of course, there are exceptions... :rant:
