I am going for the next 4 weekends from Cleveland to Jackson Miss. to deliver dump trucks for the Katrina cleanup and was wondering if anyone knows of any good yards in KY,Tenn.,Alabama or Miss not too far off 71s,65 s,or 59/20 west.
I know of a great one. Located just 5 miles north of the 71-65 interchange in new albany indiana. Take 65 north and exit # 4, lewis and clark parkway [hwy 131]. Take a left onto 131, and stay straight. keep going straight on that road, dont turn to follow the traffic. 2 miles and the road ends at a stop sign. take a left and go 100 feet and park your car. Go into the office, and request a pass to the "landfill". About 40+ acres, and the rear 1/2 is all stuff that's been there since the 70's and 80's. TONS of classic american iron, and usually fair prices. Here's a couple pics from that yard.
