Jim is right, of course. Factory mats had Tri-Shields, no GS logos.

Cars sells correct rubber type. I think Legendaries are some type of plastic. Cars has only Black and now saddle. About $200

The vinyl mats by Legendary are a really nice repros. Many here have them. They are made in the GS/A body style. I recall the rubber ones fron CARS may be the big body Buick (B/C & E) style but confirm this. Look back in the older threads for the discussion to be sure.

x2...thanks to Legendary and some dedicated V8 members. These were a long time coming, and worth the wait. And they protect your carpet/jute padding when heater core lets go...ask me how I know...

I've been trying to figure out what floor mats to buy for my 72GS convertible. After reading the threads I think I'll go with the Legendary ones, but I can't decide if I should get black or green. I hate that there aren't photos on the site. What would green and red ones look like? Does that mean they have the GS logo? But that isn't correct, right?

If memory serves me correctly there were black mats in the car when I bought it. Not that it means anything, but I keep thinking that is what I should get. The carpet was just replaced with dark olive green carpets.

I feel like an idiot...just downloaded the Legendary catalog...now I can see them! I'm still curious as to what you think of the colors though.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks guys.

I really like the new carpet mats with the GS logo. Not stock looking of course, but they do look nice. They are about $150.

As for GS or Tri-Shield, it's ultimately about what you like. My bias is for original. Don't remember if Legendary has samples, but way back when I worked at dealership, we matched carpet...unless owner said otherwise...

Beth, Green carpets would have used green mats but a dealer or past owner could have done anything. Originals all had white tri shield on them never GS

I went with the green and the GS logo. Even though it isn't completely correct, I thought they were more fun.

    Can't wait till they arrive!

They are nice even though not correct. I bought them several years ago when nothing else was available except crusty used ones
