Are the repop GS emblems for a 69 q-panel the same as the 70-72 GS fender emblems? Year One has the same part # for both as does CARS but they say mounting studs may be different than originals. Anybody know what that means? I wanted to order some new ones for my vert but not if I have to drill different holes.
Not true.....completely. The outside appearance is the same, but the 69's only have 2 studs. The 70-72 will have a center locating stud along with the two outer mounting studs. Someone coreect ME if I'm wrong.

I think the only ones that are produced now have three studs. Not a big deal. Nothing a cutoff wheel won't fix. :beer
Believe it or not, Poston had the correct ones with 2 studs. They were not long enough. Luckily I had an NOS set of 70-72 fender emblems and cut off the center stud.
