Fall is a good time for racing in the south. About 1 1/2 hrs south of Atlanta down I-75 in Reynolds GA. Nov 2&3. http://www.buickgsca.com/SEMCC.htm There's always a big turbo 6 turn out but it'd be nice to get the V8 car numbers up a little. What'd ya say?
Dont worry about it dude. Some guys Just Causing Crap is all. Looking forward to seeing you and your car again this year. Me, LJ and Carlos are coming in Thursday. Staying at the Best Western in Perry. P.S. Make sure you put some gas in that car this year! :beers2:
Gas is the least of my worries right now. Tom (who always goes to Reynolds with me) is setting up my 12 bolt and 3.42s and is having problems with the pinion. Pinion nut doesn't want to thread on, yoke won't slide all the way on the splines, bearing doesn't want to go on. Don't know if its the pinion gear itself or the parts in the installation kit. Both are Richmond but the gears were bought off e-bay but had never been installed. I need this rear as I believe the 10 bolt is not long for this world. Wish me luck. If I can't run my car I might just throw myself under a 9 sec turbo car and end it all.
Well I guess ignorant disrespect would be STRONGLY discouraged... And hopefully means to be ejected from the track/grounds... I do not understand why it would need to be asked by Buick class people. Unless some chebby people are planning to attend and stir some stuff up, LOL... Mike, Man dude - you gotta get that rear end up and going. Who did you get the gears from. There are a couple of reputable gear people on there. That is where I got my Eaton and gears from. Hopefully you are able to get some support from them. We are looking forward to seeing you there, make sure you stop by and hang for a while. We will be cooking some burgers and stuff on the grill. See ya soon ! Mike
That would be great to see. I hope he brings it... If I could only get the locals from my town to come out. But then they may become believers, and we can't have too many of them out there fighting to get our Buicks... Mike
I sure will will Mike. You said that you went from 3.08's to 3.42's , correct? If so, it should be felt a little, but not too much. I am anxious to see what you do down the track with that difference, as I was contemplating buying some small diameter slicks to change my ratio from 3.42 to 3.64 for track use to improve my times - especially the 60' time. Mike
Mike and Mike, I, for one, can hardly wait to see Rich and crew show up in Reynolds and lay down their best numbers ever in the cool, crisp, below sea level South Georgia air! Maybe Rich's Custom Auto will then be known as "The Home of the 8 Second Street Cars".
I hope you guys don't mind a Yankee at your event! No car but would love to see the 9 second street Buick run!
I would love to see that also. Are you looking to come down? I hope to see you there. This is a nice event, a peaceful place and quite relaxing. I had a nice time there last year. Yankees are invited with or without car !
Sure, come on down. A great time will be had by all! Just an FYI, book a room at the Best Western in Perry. I hear there are LOTS of rooms still available there, contrary to what has been said!
Well just got back from helping Mike install the new rearend. I left him with it bolted to the control arms and the shocks attached. He has all the small stuff to finish for tomorrow. I am staying at a Friend's house Friday night and we plan to get there Saturday morning.:kodak:
