Noticed a GSX is coming up for auction soon and was curious if anyone has better info or knowledge of this X. the add states it is a Numbers matching 19,892 miles survivor, stage 1 , Apollo white car. the add did not show or state the Build number either. Just wondering about its history. It does have a Wayne Roberts report with it according to the add.
https://www.raleighclassic.com/vehicles/2237/1970-buick-gsx Does not appear to be a low mileage survivor.
I can't find anything on this X. It does look all original and looks to be non-restored as advertised. Has surface rust on frame & supensition. Interior looks great. That X is going to bring high $$$ if it's all original with only a little over 19,000 miles, WoW.
That's the same one, WoW, that is a super looking X. Man, would I love to own it. Up for auction again? Must have run out of money after paying $132k... Be hard pressed to get more for it, but hope he does. Seems like all the auction cars aren't bringing the high level of money like they used too. The economy sucks right now. VET
I saw it up close at B-J this past January. It presents pretty well, but has its fair share of issues...as any 50+ year old car will. I do not believe the 19k mile story.
Someone paid $132k ($120k + 10% fees), plus transportation costs, plus potential taxes and fees IF they registered it. And now they are taking it back to auction thinking there is still meat left on the bone? It's a neat car and but based on the photos in the current auction listing and the others that were posted online when it was a B-J, there is no way I believe that it is a 19k mile car. I do believe that it's a 119k mile car.
Gary it wouldn't surprise me if it was the owner of the auction that owns this Buick. He has several Buicks he runs over and over in the auctions but NEVER sells them. I am sure if someone over paid a ton maybe he would sell one but I think he just uses his cars as a draw to get people to bring other cars or come to see/pay the money to view the cars.
