who makes a correct fitting GSX rear spoiler or if anyone knows who makes the very best one I know Duane H. makes the front spoiler and I know it is GREAT quality but I dont think he makes a rear one any help would be great and options as far as different vendors thanks Ryan :beer
Whatever you do don't buy a Year One repro, I purchased one awhile back and really overall I think it is lacking in all areas. The fit is not correct, and I had to do a lot of pre paint work just to get it up to par. Save yourself the time and don't buy one. But if you want fast input here is a thread that was started on the same topic awhile ago. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=66862&highlight=gsx+spoiler
We have a quality spoiler for you GSX We believe our spolier is the finest on the market, quality spun molded fiberglass just like the original. Ours is priced at $239, you can place an order over the internet at The Parts Place or over the phone at 630-365-1800.
So Shane, can you guarentee that your spoiler fits perfect? Gaps from side to side? The overall placement on the trunk? Because if you say yes then I will have to buy one and see for myself. Even though Jim has given his approval, thats almost enough for me.
o No: So are you going to guarentee that your car has never been hit in the rear, never had the quarters replaced or repaired, and never had the rear body panel replaced or repaired... Buy a spoiler from us test fit it, if it wont work for you can ship it back and we will give you full credit on the part, that's the best I can do. :TU: We have never had any complaints on the fitment of it, but there are always exceptions to the rule. As of now no one has posted a reply back saying its crap.
Thanks for getting back to me Shane, your return policy is good enough for me. I will order one from you soon.
Rear wing from The Parts Place I know my car has never been hit in the rear and I bought one from The Parts Place. The fit is perfect and the quality seems very good to me. I'm happy.
Everybody tells me that any spoilers dont fit right on convertibles; the quarters are different than hardtops... I was going to buy one for my GS but I never did. Frank
If you ever see one installed on a conv w/o modifications, you will see where they don't line up with the rear qtrs.
i poked a hole thru my year one spoiler wet sanding it.i bought it at a local swap meet and it had never been installed.the biggest piece of warped ,pin holed filled, thinly fiberglassed pile of junk i have ever seen.it had a ton of wax (probably mold release)on it i swear to hide the pin holes.as far as the parts place is concerned don't get me started.had good luck with one order .but we forgot to bring a part that was promised to a local swap meet over the phone and to cover up said at the swap meet he told me i was to pre-pay.big mistake . i had advertised real well for him until that happened.
