I own a 1970 GT-37 with a #'s matching 400 4bar 4speed and I have some information on the car(production #'s ect.)I'm always looking for more info on my car and I was told that Jeff or John Sawruk was the two guys to talk to about this rare option.Does Jeff or John have a email address or website? I would truly appreciate the help.Thanks.

Tim, I got to drive one of those GT-37 within weeks of it being purchased. An older fella I worked with when I was in High School was generous enough to let a young green horn take it for a spin. It was one of the most memorable events in my early driving experience. Enjoy yours!!

Jeff Sawruk lurks on this site. Hopefully he'll see his *page* and give his thoughts. He's kinda like the RainMan savant of Pontiacs.

Despite what Sawruk says, I believe these cars came with the WT engine and not the RAIII.

I'm going to keep mine for sure its a blast to drive.I like the sleeper image of the car I surpriced a 70 chevelle SS 396 yesterday. When I passed him he follow me to my house and we check each others cars out.He has a built 396 in the chevelle with an automatic.I told him that mine was a stock 400 with a 4speed.He started freaking out because my plain stock Tempest gave him a run for his money and he just spent $2,000 on performance parts for his motor.I ask him if he had done anything to the rear end and he has'nt yet it still has 3.08 gears he said.I told him when he puts differant gears in it then we can race again. My motor is a #'s matching 400 350hp and its the WT code block.I think the test car that pontiac tested had a RAlll in it but when pontiac started producing the the GT-37 for sale to the public the top motor was a 400 4speed,3speed or automatic.
