  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

has anybody notified/invited the media to the BPG Nats?

Dennis Gage? Hot Rod? Car Craft? PHR? MCR? Hemmings? McGuire's? ROA? BCA?

This is an event that MUST be covered in mags, if even a little. Sure would be nice to get some ink. I'm sure Year One could get someone to take notice. How about Greg Gessler's connection at Hot Rod with the coverage of his car. Can he pull some strings? Will they accept any "contributing editor" pieces? I'll do a write up.

Well...Jim@GMHTP magazine seems to check in from time to time - maybe he can put in a plug in that magazine!!

Not to mention, his connection with Johnny Hunkins at Popular Hot Rodding.

    That would be a start!!:TU:

  3. Well Jeff, Bruce Hunter is our PR Director, I'll bet he's been working on this. Drop him a note at bh@buickperformancegroup.com if you want to know what he's planning.

Cruisin Times, the local Western PA hotrod magazine and cable TV show contacted me when we originally scheduled the event. They thought it was going to be held at Keystone Raceway, not QC. They may be there. Back to you Bruce.

I hope that the media will be attending. This will be an event to be seen and covered. It will be the first of what I am sure will be many successful club meetings in a very successful club. I am also hearing what cars will be going and well I just want to say sweet. Can you think of the looks on the magazines peoples faces if they saw the TA Wagon pop up on one of those wild wheelstands. Or if they saw a 10.5 inch tire car like Steve Cagles or Jim Turners car run a 9.40. They are all Buicks too so that would be enough to impress anyone. What if they saw the Opel do a 7. They would say, "Wow, thats one fast Corvette." What if they saw a rear-wheel drive converted 1996 Riviera run down the quarter. Coverage on the event would be in every magazine in the country for sure.
