    Anyone?

Has anyone done a swap with the Eaton Posi carrier in their 65-67 8.2.

    Actual part number 19674-010.

I am going to do this swap in the beginning of next year and want to know from someone's experience how much all the parts were and how happy you are withe the results. I am going from 2.93 open rear in my 67 GS400 to 3.36 posi (maybe 3.55 :Brow: ).

I did a search and foun alot of people going to di this, but I really wanted to know if anyone has done this.

    Thanks for any feedback,

    Posi rear end

Well I can tell you I do not have the same year car as you but I did put a Eaton 3:42 posi rear end in my 72 Skylark, and I can tell you going from the stock single tire fire to a posi was a huge difference the first time I drove the car. Off of the line just in my 350 it pulled alot harder. So I would say for my swap I paid the guys at a local shop in my town $1000, and worth every dollar.

    Thanks Andrew,

I was thinking after all the parts and labor for someone to do it, I would be looking close to $1000.00

What brand of ring and pinion gears did you go with?

    Thanks again,

To be completely honest with you I do not know, it was about 8 years ago I did this swap, and will be taking it out soon to upgrade to a 3:73 posi rear end to hold the power of a big block.I think for a $1000 dollars you probably will not find a more benificial thing you could do to your car, and after all you have to get that tourque and horse to the ground.
