Has anyone ever seen GSX stripes on a Platinum Mist with a white top???

I will admit I absolutely love the GSX stripes, I just don't think they will look good on my color combo.

Whatdya think???

In my opinion, the GSX stripes don't look good with a vinyl or painted top. Car needs to be solid color.

 

I have not seen the GSX scheme with your combo, especially the color combo like yours. Try to photo shop it first if really curious.

I struggled for a while with doing the GSX stripe scheme on the vert, but it just is not right unless on a GSX (IMHO)

I would leave yours just the way it is....absolutely gorgeous!

It would look good with your car's color if there was no vinyl top. As was previously stated, The GSX stripe only really works with a solid color, IMHO.

Try photo shopping a white stripe on it but not black. I personally like the color scheme of your car,but wouldn agree with Eric and Gerry..Don't do it.

 

Your Color Combo With The Top Is Probably More Rare Than A Gsx.looks Great Like It Is.

 

I think your car is perfect the way it is. There were only 377 GS coupes painted platinum mist in 1971, and your car looks classy and clean. The stripes would clutter it up esp since you have white roof which would contrast badly with black strips IMHO.

I think you need to post some nice hi rez pics somewhere too!!

I think it could work with a white stripe, possibly a pearl white. A red outline would match the red line at the rocker panel as well, although I think the red should be a thin pinstripe instead of the wider stripe originally used on the GSX. Could be interesting!

 

I'm solidly in the don't do it camp. Your car looks awesome the way it is and I don't think I have seen another car in your combo. My 2 cents worth.

Ghost them with a lighter shade of Platinum Mist.
