I jumped on the Hooker headers that were recently on sale. Will be time to install over the winter. Have a 200R4 trans which I don't think will cause a clearance problem but looking at the lines they might have to be rerouted. Looking at the picture can anyone give me feedback? TIA.

We had to move a buddy's when we put a set of headers on his car. It wasn't much but if you can use your hands and not have to use anything solid, they won't crimp unless you really need to move them a lot.

Push them in there and then bow the lines to clear...unless they are coated and your particular....in which case seeing how they have been spliced already...remove and run braided line up along the inner fender....cross over the pipes and fasten them to the floor with an Adel clamp and a rivet....they look nice imo if routed neat and makes live easier in the long run

I'd run aeroquip lines through the frame rail

Ditto on the Aeroquip or similar route , plus you can route them nice and neat plus keep them further away from heat than the steel lines. Not implying any added benefit but certainly doesn’t hurt.

Just a FYI.. I bought a 67 with a 430 / 400 / full headers.... Po did a good job putting the headers in the starter in... Then he put the trans cooling lines under the stater.....ThankGod its a mini starter.... Those lines will be changed out to aeroquip or like...

I bent and massaged the original TH350 lines slightly to clear Hookers with a BRF 2004r. They have worked just fine.

I ran braided line through the frame to get the lines away from the heat that the headers generate.

I moved mine by hand and put a heat shield over them for extra protection
