headlights

    okay my tranny is all fixed.car runs like a dream!! now on to the new problem,no headlights(most of the time).they come on once in awhile.all other lights work perfect,sides,dirs,tail everything else but headlights.once in awhile they flicker on ,but go back out.no highs or lows,can anybody help me I love driving right at dusk along the beach!!1

    Check the ground wire on the headlights, it goes to the core support and there's probably one on each side. Your ground side has to travel through the core support, through the fender/inner fender, through the firewall, through the engine, and back to the battery to make a complete circuit. A lot of places for a bad connection.

    check out the dimmer switch. Usually they get wore or corroded and work intermittently like that.

    ok you guys helped me with the lights.thanx,now onto next problem . car was converted from column shifter to console,when i switched trannys i kept column shifter un hooked. now car starts in any gear and reverse lights dont work.seems i need it hooked up,right?also where can i find a picture of rochester 4bl to hook up the kick down cable?i need a good pic please help.also on acc. pedal there is two spots for cables to hook in and only 1 cable for the accelerator. please its driving me nuts!!!!

    TH350 cars have a cable that attaches to the gas pedal for the Kickdown, Thats what the other hole is for.:TU:
