I was having a conversation with Dave Johnson earlier and this came up. More so because (I think - well, I hope) my 7 year old Lectric Limited rally gauge temperature sending unit stopped working the other day.

My heater hose is on the driver's side port, similar to the factory intake. My (dead) rally gauge sending unit is on the driver's side and the mechanical gauge sender is on the passenger side back of the intake.

Where do you Edelbrock users typically mount all of these or is it basically personal preference?

Brett, my car is always run the factory gauge on the driver side and the aftermarket gauge on the passenger side. I just extended. Check the connection on the intake. Sender. IMG_3408.jpeg IMG_3407.jpeg

    What about your heater hose?

I did that as well as trying a different wire.

When I used to run the heater hoses, the factory rally gauge was disconnected, and the heater hose was connected were I have the aftermarket gauge hooked up passenger side. That’s how the original owner had it set up before I bought it. I have seen pictures where people would run a heater hose off of the back of the intake.

There’s a way to test the sender to see if it’s still working.

    I have as well.

    How is the sender tested?

The sender is a resistance switch. Put a meter on it and then run the car.
