    Well where do I start?

    Ok..

I own a 1968 Buick LeSabre 4dr hardtop 350/4 2sp (forward) trans (powerglide?) (turbo400?) it does have the electric kick down switch activated by the gas pedal.

I got from a guy in Fort Worth Texas who was holding the original title though not in his name and he had just aquired the car allthough he wouldn't say where.

I believe most likey form an estate sell?!

It has 80K original miles on it and all the guy did to it was put a new set of tires on it because it still had the original tires and the had cracks in them though the tread was still decent!

The original spare is still in the back along with the original floormats.

It has the owners manual in the glove box still and I got a huge kick out of reading it.

All wiring looks untouched and most of the fuses look original as was the flasher untill tonight and then I found that when I put the left bliker on I lost my brake lights.

I will post a detailed problem description in the proper forum :)

I was planning on swapping the drums for disks unitll reading about it in this forum but I think its going to be more work and money than I thought...

The car is what I would call slate blue and has minor dents and dings here and there but still draws "what a clean car!" form those who yell at me as I roll along :)

The interior is in excelent shape with only two very small holes in the drivers seat.

Front bench seating so I built a console the can easily be removed with out leaving a single trace.. It has a glove dox with CD holder, Dual adjustable cupholders and a tray for whatever and holds the CD/FM/AM Stereo and has a cell phone mount and extra power outlet for the charger...

The back dash has 2 sets of cutouts for 6x9s and I mad use of those and that is the only thing mounted to the car that isn't original...

Vintage blue grills can fix that problem though since some mdles came with speakers in the rear...

Can't think of anything else for now...

    Probably said too much allready...

    Glad to be hear...

Welcome and nice find of a car.
Sounds like that car is so close to original I don't know if I would change a thing except to bring it back to new condition.

    Enjoy your ride,

    Sal

Welcome Bear, and nice find. :)

I agree with Sal, keep the old girl original and enjoy the classic styling.

    If the shift selector shows P R N D L, it's a powerglide. P R N D L1 L2 would mean it's a t-400.

    Enjoy!

Thanks for the post Sal! It is a powerglide.

I am going to keep it original....

except for Hydrauics, fuzzy dice, chain steering wheel and twice pipes...

    LOL

I am just kidding Sal... Quit gritting your teeth and rolling your eyes at me!
