Hello, this past summer I bought a 1966 Buick Special as project car. It doesn't have a motor or tranny, so I was thinking a 455 and a TH400 would be awesome. It originally had the V6 and automatic in it so I am expecting some challenges getting the 455 in there. Any suggestions about any pitfalls that may be in my way would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, B-team
Welcome from Manitoba Canada! 455 would be awesome, but consider doing a period correct Nailhead 401.
Welcome, the 455 swap is pretty involved but not too hard. A Buick 350 and auto trans would be an easy bolt in for you! You literally bolt in the 350 without a hassle since it shares mounts with the V6.
Welcome from Andover on the north side of town. The bigest challenge as with all projects $$$$$$$$$$$
