Been looking over the board this morning and am very impressed with the amount info and knowledge of members. I can't wait to dig into my restofication and I'm sure that I'll have plenty of questions. My car is a '69 GS California that appears to be bone stock except for the paint. Red now but looks like it was originaly white. Its a solid car but needs lots of tlc. Kurt
Welcome to the board! Greetings from Kansas City! This board is full of friendly, knowledgeable people. If you have a question about ANYTHING, odds are there is someone here that will know the answer. (Now that I think about it, I might just put that theory to the test sometime.) I noticed the "wv" on your name. Are you from West Virginia? I grew up not too far from Beckley. - Freed
Hi Kurt There are several of us on this Board who are keen on the 68/69 body style so Ask often.....dont be afraid, we don't bite:laugh: Currently there are several 68/69's being parted out in the Parts for Sale section - take a look as you just might find that Left-handed Gasket tape Applicator for the Bifarcal Valve you've been needing How long have you had your car ?? There's also a section called Members' Rides - take a look at all the fellow 68/69 fans' cars and maybe post a picture of yours as well - we'd LOVE to see it !! If i can be of any help.....you can find me here (too often )
Welcome Kurt. By all means, post a pic or two. It's always nice to see another 68/69 owner join. :TU:
Thanks for the welcome guys. Freed... I live in a small town about 30 miles from Huntington called Hurricane. 69GS400s.... I bought the car about 3 yrs ago and it has been in storage, out of state, since I got it. I have moved 3 times in 2 yrs and finally am getting to a point where I can get the car here soon and start werking on it. As far as parts go the only hard to find piece I need is a 'California' emblem, one of mine reads 'Califor'p I have looked at the readers rides section and got LOTS of inspiration. I don't know yet exactly what I want it to become but I think there might be a few questions about pulling the 350 for a 455. James.... I don't have the means to post any pics right now but when I get her home I"ll definatly snap a few. Kurt
Hurricane, WV -- Home of Tudor's Biscuit World, right? Been through that town on the highway more times than I could easily count. I-64 was on my route between home and college. Met a girl from there when I was in Florida one time too. Man was she "easy on the eyes"! Good to have you aboard! - Freed
