Heater control valve, where on a 68 skylark does the vaccum line from the heater control valve plug in at, behind the dash ? replaceing heating vaccum lines and cannot locate, this plug. Any one with a vaccum line diagram or lay out off where they go ?

Chassis manual will give you the best direction. My '71 is an AC car & has a group of 5 vacuum lines on a common plug/bulkhead that in turn plugs into the back of the AC control switch on the dash.

Assuming the 68 is the same as the 70- the white striped hose from the heater valve goes through the firewall and attaches to the #1 port on the heater control valve. If the car is assembled you are not going to see the #1 on the control. You need a diagram from 68.

I do have a manual of the car but mine is on disk and not as accurate in some areas of the car. And yes, car is assembled. If I remember correctly there should be two vacuum lines coming from the engine bay through the firewall into the interior of car, one from the vacuum tank and the other from the top of the heater control valve, but what my issue is, the one from the heater control valve after coming through the firewall into the interior plugs into where and what ?

I have a 68 manual and could look and copy a few pages and send you. Do not have a scanner to scan and post, thanks Bil.

I believe it should attach to the heater control unit. Feel for which port does not have a hose on it. Feel and let the force be with you and yee shall find the empty port. Then just plug it in.
