Help ID'ing T400

    Sorry, but tried several searches online and currenlty don't have literature for the year 1978. Its a short shaft T400, data tag says "78-OD"....Doesn't really matter, just curious....

    1978 Olds 98 with the 403 V-8 (2.41, anmd 2.56 axle)

    Ok, thanks...I knew it was Olds but just didn't know what it was behind...lots of OD code trannies form 70-76 found online , all behind big blocks, but 78 seems to be a lost year :)

    Tim,
    Get the Book "How to Work with and Modify The Turbo-Hydramatic 400 Transmission" by Ron Sessions. Has all the codes, and what they were installed in. Great book on the 400. Should be available almost anywhere.
