you can make replacement metal pieces if you can get a pattern (and make them look stock) or use what you have for a partial pattern for function. when i originally read your question I supposed the bad parts were the frame itself (also repairable) but the body supports are very do-able. a third option albeit not original would be to look at the repro A-body pieces (skylark) for possible use.

How's the metal above and around the mounting area? In general, if the rest of the floor areas are solid, then making a fix on this is not that big of a deal. If you are looking at original appearance, then more effort is required and more $ How about this? You could remove the body mount bolts, lift the body a few inches with jacks and stands. Use a cutoff wheel and spot weld cutter or chisel to remove the entire rotten mounting boss from the floorpan. You could simply get some bar stock of the appropriate thickness, trim it into nice square pad, drill it to accept the mounting bolts and weld it to the floor where the brace used to be. You could easily compensate for height with stainless or galvanized washers to shim up the distance. Presto! Fixed, solid, cheap, and not bad to look at. Throw a little undercoating over it, and few will even be able to tell that anything is different here. The car looks good and original. I live down in Houma, and I know that these older cars are HARD to find down here due to the humidity and salt air from the Gulf. I would jump on it. In fact, I'm guessing that it is at a CarQuest, and I am trying to track it down right now! Just kidding. Good luck. Rudy E

    Looks like mine

That looks exacly like my 66 Wildcat.
I thought that was my only problem until I removed the trunk matt, and parts of the trunk floor came with the matt!
I found a complete floor, not 100% rust free, but close. I would suggest that you check the rest of the trunk floor thoroughly. It may be worse than it looks in your pictures.
Now for some better news. I haven't compared these in person, yet, but the aftermarket A-body mounts appear to be the same. I hopefully will have the cash shortly to verify this, but I'm waiting for until I get my frame back. Then I am going to drop the body back down and start the trunk floor replacement. I will probably replace these mounts with the aftermarket A-body mounts, if the are close to the same size.
I should get the frame on Friday, but I am going to paint it and do some sub assy. (fuel / brake lines) before I put it back under the body. So, it may be a while before I can let you know if the A-body mounts are compatible. But, if I were you, I would check the trunk floor out real well.
    Good Luck.

Strike 1 that car is not worth $4500
Strike 2 There are no aftermarket trunk pans for that car
Strike 3 If there were ..replacement cost would exceed $1000

    And thats just the trunk!!!

Another concern is the windshield/back glass rust under the trim. You are also chasing rust in the seams. Consider that cost when figuring out the worth. Are you going to do the work yourself?

    Whaaat?

My first response is to GSXER. Why don't you think it's worth $4,500? It runs great, steers, brakes no prob. Interior is actually costom that a man got for his wife from the factory that is in great shape. Is it the body work? 80% is surface rust. Now a patch will be needed for the drvr door but that's about it.The rear window challen has not rusted all the way through yet. The worst is above the frame mounts, not the frame itself but the lower support pans(?). I managed to get my big but under there and looked good. Where there was once metal, I can see to the inner/outter panel, trunk area(?) And the metal actually looks new and shiny. I won't tackle this alone. I have a shop that's been in buisness for over 50 yrs. they do some fab. as well. But it seems that my friend poo-poos any damn thing thats not absolutely perfect. (Dang it, I want to pay you $ to fix it, just fix it!!!) But I appreciate everyone' advice on this matter. Keep the opinions comin'

The carpet don't match the drapes. Anything that rusty underneath that looks nice on top has probably been patched and painted. The fact that they did not take care of the underbody raises questions in my mind about how much care they took with the body work. You're seeing rust start around the rear window and at the back edge of the trunk.

This car will need a total re-do. If you get a real bargain and have it done for say $5,000, you'll have almost $10 k into it just in purchase and body work. Then there's the normal mechanical stuff that you have to do - tires, brakes, etc. Look up what cars like this are going for in Hemmings or TraderOnline. I'll bet $10k will buy a nice original survivor car.

I think that this is a typical used car lot vehicle - shiny enough to move, but there will be grief down the road. If you shopped for one you could probably find a car like this for about $1500. That's what it looks to be worth.
