I'm working on a 71 skylark. Originally had a 6cyl, a 455 swapped in by a previous owner. I'm trying to get the a/c working - most of it was present when I purchased the car, but in the trunk. According to the service manual there is supposed to be an ambient switch on the ac box? My ac box doesn't have this switch, or a location where it might have been. there is also no wiring that I can find on the harness that might have ran to this switch. I also cannot find wiring that should have ran to the temp switch in the cyl head, or the compressor. Pix to follow.

Under the air cleaner I found these wires/connectors taped out of the way.. Where do they go???? are these the a/c wires I'm looking for? I've included a pic of the a/c box as well.... In Pic #3 the black wire is cut just past the edge of the frame.

OOOOOHHHH I feel stupid.... The diagram I was looking at was for 4900 series.. Riv.. etc. the 4200 series diagram is different. it looks like The connector with the green and black wire go to the compressor and the black grounds to the bracket. now to figure out the other two...

Pink & pink/white with the resistor go across your TCS mounted on the carb.. An extension from here operated the idle solenoid if equipped. The green is for water temp..
