Iv'e got a 78 regal i'm trying to fix up and modify. The body is in good shape and i will be painting it soon. I have already put in new weatherstripping on the doors and trunk. The problem i'm having is this rust coming out at the bottom of the doors because i can't find those rubber strips between the door glass and the tops of the doors. I have gone to dealerships, junkyards, autoparts stores, bodyshops, online suppliers and even a gnx site but to no avail! Where can i find these @$#%&^* damned things and what the hell are they called? Iv'e heard people call them window felts which i know they are not, and window channel strips. They look like long squeegees attached to the trim, screwed into the inside at the top of the outer doors. How can i paint my car with this crap going on? Can somebody please help?:Dou:

actually those are the window felts, old term but it's what they are another term is beltline kit, I checked Steele rubber products with no luck, they have them for the 81-87 Regal but not for the early ones, hope this helps a little

Go to your local glass shop and they will be able to get you some aftermarket piece's but by no means are they original looking.

We did this when we took out a vent window in a 70'chevelle wagon we are working on and just cut them to length and finished off the ends. This should be able to get you buy until you find the correct ones.
