I second that Jason . More like 220,000 . Plus it looks like its been parked on grass for the last 10 years so its probably rust city underneath .

what if its true though? I would go look if I lived closer.

I would need to see rock solid documentation and owner history. Even if its true, the car is trashed and likely only good for parts

Does the grip on that steering wheel look thicker like a GSX version? Possibly painted red?

It's got the stainless band on it. So not a GSX wheel.

I agree with Jason as well. 20K miles and it looks like THAT??? Did he park it in the Everglades the entire time?

is that the normal routing of the fuel line to carb?

A 70 Riv has an electric pump in the tank, so the fuel line makes a U turn and heads over to the right side valve cover and goes into a rubber line.

Yes, that would be normal, it had an electric fuel pump, Riviera trademark starting in 1969.

That is a 220,000 mile car, there's too much going on for it to be a low miler. This one is so mangy it barks. The 1970 is a red-haired stepchild anyway, so they can still be had reasonably cheap in fairly good shape. This one is a parts department to a solid runner. Look at the rust on the back deck; that thing must originally come from one of the northern stater or Canada.

OK V-8 Buick People: A word to the wise from your pal Mitch. The facts....

The seller says very lo miles.
The car looks horrible in the pictures
    The presentation is horrible.
    The price may not horrible.

Bottom line? before issuing judgement on this, an up close and personal in the flesh inspection is really warranted. If one is really interested in a vehicle that might be this or that....first do the lookin'! Sometimes you find out things. Maybe it is legit, maybe not but....until you make the effort you might wind up shooting yourself in the foot by jumping to conclusions. Mitch

Perhaps all the mold on the steering wheel has increased the circumference of its grip.:puzzled:

I have seen some certified lower mileage vehicles look this bad or worse. Not saying the mileage is correct, just saying that low mileage doesn't always equate to beautiful originals. Low mileage doesn't mean a lifetime of dry indoor storage.

I agree. I still have photos of a fully documented legitimate 11,000 mile 67 Riviera GS I ran across several years ago. The poor thing was in absolutely deplorable condition but signs like original H-70 redline tires, was consistent with the documentation. Don't know what ever happened to it but it was a parts car IMO due to extensive rust everywhere. Seeing this car was a teachable moment for me when assessing original mileage.

My 66 GS showed 27k. It too looked VERY bad cosmetically but the proof was in the details once it was dismantled as well as a document I was able to dig up that tied everything together.

low mileage drivetrain would be worth something to the right person if the car was unrestorable or undesirable model.
