Honestly, some of the lighter headers I’ve had.

    I hear yah!
Coated headers are nice, and the coating lasts longer than rattle can, BUT yes the cost is a turn off for me.
For how we drive our cars, to me a rattle can of VHT or High Heat charcoal grill paint works fine, not only that but the Buick 350 and 455 is so much wider than other V8’s you can’t see much header anyway:cool:

I will be sending mine to New Image Coatings,in Struthers Ohio. I have them do all of my headers, intakes, and other misc parts. I will find out what the updated price is. I did a set of 455 headers in November, and I think those were $275.00 to coat and from experience, they are a better or more thorough coat than Jet-Hot,which works very well also.

Just got the my Visa statement. Costed $28.92 to try to buy these with no success. Hard to believe a bank can go under in today's times. lol.

Wait. What? You got charged for TRYING to buy the headers but weren't able to? Why did they charge you?

Summit should eat that fee for accepting payment with no stock.

Just the way it is. Summit took the order. Bank converts cash over to USD from CDN with surcharge. Three days later Summit says discontinued and refunds cash. Bank converts back to CDN funds with a surcharge. You get your money back less bank surcharge. Sometimes the dollar value comes into play but this one is 95% surcharges by the bank. Summit has now updated site to say not available. It was worth a try at that price.

Visa or the bank should eat the difference, IMO. There was no completed transaction.

Hell, even Summit should step up and do the right thing

Not what they once were. Not so much of a “deal”. 9F341294-F7CB-47F5-8C46-D80010CEB789.jpeg

I have a ceramic coated set made in china in 2018,
Seems they've been inferior for quite a few years.:(

Hence the price. They are definitely different compared to a 30-year old set that I have.
