I brought the tire itself off the car when my friends kia front tire was flat after she got off work. No nails or spikes, the bead started leaking. They took off the tire and ground the inner rim clean. They charged $60 which I thought was alot till I read this thread..
Too lazy to plug my own tires. Place a mile from the house charges $5. Now if I had to go to a normal place that charged $20... Had my brand new GN for about a month and took a six inch spike through the sidewall. For a broke young guy, replacing that tire was a real big deal. This thread reminds me -- time to perform a fleet wide spare tire pressure check!
