Homemade Radio Delete Plate. What do you think?
I had some stainless steel laying around and thought it would look better than a hole in the dash.
    Does it look hillbilly?

I was also thinking of painting it satin black.

Nice fab work. Make it the same black finish as the dash and you have a new place for your gages.

    Looks great.
Sell it to your board buddies in the vendor section, it looks that good to me, I would pay for one, if I had a car that year:pp

Yup, paint it black and put the gauges in it, and no one would look twice at it.

Plus gauges will be much easier to read.

I did the same thing a couple years ago for my All-Parts car.I could only get 2 1/16 gauges to fit without seriously modifying the plate and bezel. I used angle rings to help see. The bad thing, I have over 350 bucks in all the gauges pictured and have only utilized on in my green car...

Not hillbilly at all! If I were you, I'd paint it satin black, leave the edges shinny to match the dash, then put some woodgrain stuff on there before you install the gauges. :TU:
