This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. They were done with zinc phosphate plating. You can simulate that color with paint by that name from Eastwood.

    Good question....

Are the hinges and springs the same color? Can anyone post a photo of that color? I need to refinish mine so this comes at a good time...

    Jim,

Do yours look like the photo of the GSX that I posted or are they more black in color? What about the springs?

A pic is worth a thousand words but alas they are in the garage in a boxand I'm watching what used to be Lawrence Welk. But JW is about somewhere . He did them and is just fihishing Larry D's car which got the same plating I'm sure. maybe he has a pic. In fact, I think there is one in the archieves on this Board\

Here is an ad where they call it charcoal gray.

the correct term is "grey phosphate coated". JW did a pair for me and they came out like new. You may also want to check locally for platers who may do this.

The eastwood ad also says charcoal grey but their photo threw me off unless they are talking about the spring in the photo...

    What about the spring color?
