    Poppaluv I CALL WINNERS!!!

Yesterday was Not a happy b-day for me. I have been awaiting surgury for over 2 1/2 years while the lawyers did their thing. I was due to finally get it done this month at Charity hosp. But it has been destroyed. So the earliest it will happen is in 12 months when I become elligible through my wife's work insurance. Despite the pain and the chances of it going against me at my future lawsuit I tried to work at a large local construction co. doing light duty in the warehouse usually on the forklift or learning to operate bobcats, loaders and such and delivering fuel to the sites. I got the job through a friend who is very tight with some of the bosses. Well, I took my physical and apparently did not do very well.So I can't walk on the balls of my foot! Also the doc noticed the foot drop and lack of reflexes in my leg. I was called in the office and told that I could not continue there anymore. As I was leaving Brandy called to tell me that her cousin Phillip was shot in the head wed. night and was on life support. It looked at first like a suicide attempt. But that is not Phillip. He was married in Houston a few weeks after Katrina and his beautiful boy Caleb just made a year old. HE and his wife found a new place to live, he was made mgr. of 5 minute oil change and was very happy when we saw them at our wedding late last month. His father later told us that he called his wife to tell her he loved herand asked about their dinner plans. He was found later that night in a parking lot. Things are still scetchy. They said they have done all that they could for him and pulled him off life support. Now the police are lookin' for a co-worker that had a problem at work with Phillip. He is no where to be found....
I used to love my b-days to the chagrin of my friends, but now I am just to upset and depressed to care and don't know what will come next. I don't care for myself but feel bad for my wife and Phillip's family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.... :ball:

Phillip passed away today. His family and myself are taking this very hard. He has left behind a 14 month old son and his 20 year old wife of 3 months. The police have a suspect in for questioning.

    Birthday Prayers

    Jason:

I noticed the birthday well wishes a few days ago and didn't respond because I don't know you(except from here).

I am sorry for my oversight, it may well be the last time you can truely enjoy the celebration of the anniversary of your own birth.

I will pray for you and your extended family.

I also hope that you can find some measure of closure in this incident and return to enjoying "Your" day. Things happen in life and the ones left behind are the ones that feel the most pain, those taken are in paradise!

    Thanx

You can never know how much I apreciate the feedback from you guys. Brandy took me out to dinner a movie, then we went to "Grits" a local bar where some friends met us for a few hours. It took our minds off of things. At least for a lil' while. For some reason I feel like I can talk on this board. While I can't seem to get my friends to understand that I'm hangin' on by a thread. I don't know what I would do without her...... :(

    J-Pop,

I pray that the Holy Spirit provide the strength and comfort that Phillip's family and friends need at this time. There is so much that we will never understand as we are finite. Prayer said just now, and I will add this need to my prayer list and will continue praying.
