I looked through the loft real quick and came up with a few parts that I'm willing to donate to the first person who needs them. Normally, I'd be selling this stuff, but I'd like to see this "Buick People helping Buick People" keep going...I'm not just giving away my junk, but things I truely believe someone could use. :TU: 1) 455 Lunati Hemi-Killer cam( 241*-241* on a 112* LC.) Cam worked great, but the idle bothered the wife and well, it is her car... Has approx 1000 miles on it. 2) Factory 8 track player wiring harness (just the harness)with the correct plugs on it. Repaired where someone spliced speaker wires to it, but I removed them and used solder and heatshrink for the repair. 3) I have a set of factory pushrods ( # 123379), still in the plastic, that I THINK are for a 350 Buick. They are longer than a 455. Can someone confirm that part number? Whomever wants any of this must be willing to pay shipping, but the parts are free.

Now You All Know What I Know! I have never submitted anything to this V8 Board, not that I didn't have the interest, just a little busy going on the Harley Websites. I have always supported Al in all of his endeavors, as many have you have heard the story (of the White 70GSX). But I am especially proud of Al and his patience and willingness to help his other Buick enthusiasts. This is his passion (well next to me of course). Al, what is the exact application of 7040243 carb? I can't find my QJ book, 70 Buick what? Stage, manual?
Jeff, The 7040243 is a 455 non stage 1 4 speed carb.I am sure he'd like to have it for his beautiful X car. Pat
That's what I thought. I thought that # sounded familiar. I know that I have exactly that #, off of my 70 GS 455, with a four-speed, that was stolen back in 88 in Colorado. It wasn't on the car at the time and I have no need for it. Al, you are welcome to it, if you want it. But there is a huge problem. It unfortunately has been exposed to the elements (it was stored in a car that leaked ) and is disassembled. It would of course need to be THOUROGHLY CLEANED, re-plated, and rebuilt. It may or may not be missing some of the small parts, I'll have to look at it again. It will take alot of work and/or $ to make it look nice and work correctly. It IS the correct #, however. Steve, you asked for the harness first, so to be fair I'm giving you first dibs. I understand the harness to be for a 1970, that's what it came out of. Are 8 track harnesses the same from 70-72 like so many other parts? Yes it's true I need a 1970 GS 455 fan shroud and a carb for my 70 GSX, but unfortunately both parts seem to have risen in price so much that I doubt I'll ever afford them. Truthfully, that has a lot to do with my wanting to give my spare Buick parts away..o No:

Thanks! I was going to PM you that the cam was yours, but I'll just say it here. I would imagine it's similar shipping a carb and a cam, so I'll just ship you the cam next week. Sound OK? Oh and Richard, if your sure these pushrods will fit your 350, I'll check on shipping and try and get them out this coming week. Al, If you need some q-jet parts you let me know ok ? I have a stack of them here. I would literally have to sit down for a few hours to go through all the numbers but if need be, so be it. I figure I owe you and Jeff anyways for the stuff you "forwarded" to me awhile back.........If you need anything else and I can help out I hope you both remember me. I'll sure help if I can.
