How did you come across your first Buick?

My first introduction to Buick power was with my friends family- who ALL worked at GM in Framingham. His Father, bro's and sis's all bought new 87 GN's. His oldest brother, who ran a body shop, liked to collect old muscle cars (Chevelle SS's/ Nova's). I recall one day going to his house and seeing two(2) strange looking GN's in his driveway w/ black rims. I went for a ride in one (sitting on the factory plastic wrap looking at the window sticker still on the window) and recall 'GNX by Buick' printed across the dash. Since that day, my foundness of Buick cars was created.
After that, I bought a 1970 GTO rot box (since I was only 15) which was my 'learning how to turn a wrench' car.
I made the switch to computer controlled vehicles during college- 1996 SVT Cobra , 1991 GMC Syclone (which was sold due to a relocation to Arizona) and later my second Syclone.
Then the old car bug hit. I began my search for an old, factory 'ram air' car.
My list had two (2) cars on it- a 1969 GTO Judge for $5,500 (Palmer, MA) and a 1969 Buick GS for $2,500 (Lynn, MA). When I saw the Buick, I was amazed at how straight the lines were. I hated the overall body style- with that huge, angled rear bumper, a rear quarter that covered part of the rear tire... ugh. But, it was a 'ram air vehicle' which is what I was looking for. I bought it for $1600.
Now, like Alan and many others, I love the 68-69 Buicks. Plus, after seeing the car too many times to count, the 'wife' likes it as well!
