Also have a 69 conv GS 400, factory 4spd. All original and unrestored. Been in storage for many years.
You gotta love those "40 ci" engines. :laugh: That happened to mine years ago too. The 400 was on one side and the 40 on the other. All my friends joked and said I had a "440". p

I have one. 69 GS 400 4 speed convertible. Red, black top, white interior. I'm 3rd owner. Second owner started restoration and then decided to sell. I was able to contact original owner who actually sat down with dealership and ordered the car when he returned from vietnam. I also have the build sheet for the car. Car is currently in boxes.:3gears:

Mine has looked like this since 2003, it's tucked away in the corner of the garage waiting for the money tree to start growing! Originally Cameo Creme, black buckets interior, black top. Has a new trunk floor tacked in place, new quarter skin, both doors skinned, dash welded up, NOS fenders waiting to be installed. Interior is all good except for rear seat bottom. Original auto trans and rear, engine long gone.
