    Hi!
I'm putting in a 4 speed t-10 out of a firebird into a 86 regal, Any thoughts on how to get the reverse lights to work? Micro switch? Or is there a easier way? No switch on the side cover.
    Thanks Brad

    Yep

    Brad,
what Al listed in his post is what I used on my 87 Regal with Muncie application. The switch mounts on the back of the shift and the circuit makes when the plunger is depressed by the shifter arm when you move it into reverse.

Find your hot wire supplying the feed to your back up lights and splice it into your back up switch. Presto your done.

Be advised that the Hurst switch may need to be shimmed for proper clearance and it is somewhat flimsy. It does not take a lot of effort to have it bend out of shape.

    Hope it helps.

:Brow: hook the wires up to a toggle switch, and when someone pulls up close behind you, simply switch on the reverse lights, rev it up, and watch them crap their pants when you take off! my last three manual trans cars have been wired that way, and I love it!
