Hi all, recently bought a balancer from Todd, great quality and lightning shipping btw, but I can't figure out how to mount it. I attached a pic of the old one vs the new. Am I supposed to remove the inside part of the old one that acts as the washer for the bolt? Can't really find a manual or info about this online.

I don't see any pictures posted, but I believe there is a thick washer and bolt holding it to the crank. IIRC the balancer should be a slip fit meaning you can take it off by hand after removing the bolt. The new balancer should completely replace the old one minus the bolt and washer. Maybe your washer is simply stuck to the old balancer?

Someone who's done this more recently should know for sure!

Forgot to include the picture, whoops, here it is. I believe you're mentioning the same 'inner part'/washer I was thinking of as well. I'll knock it out of the old balancer then. Should be good to use on the new one right?

Yes, I can see the old washer stuck in the old balancer hub.

Yes, there’s a washer stuck there because you can’t see the keyway.

Thanks guys, thought that would be it but it was so crusty it looked like one piece from both sides. I'll tap it out and get the new balancer on today :)
