What's the best way to remove this trim on the rear of a hood? Thanks

Piece of pine wood or plastic and slowly beat it off with a hammer

Thanks Adam. I guess I'll work on it evenly from front and back sides in one direction..

Go slow and easy, start at one end and tap your way to the other.

so this begs the question...how do you get it to go back on?

I use a little grease or Vaseline on both the hood lip and the trim if I can, and tap it nice and easy back on (with plastic hammer or rubber). I mark the center of the trim with tape so I can be sure it is centered going back on. Another set of hands to help hold it helps!

Goes on easy as long as the paint/body work hasn’t been built up too much on the edge. I just use the palm of my hand.

I have a better question. How do you get it back on after the car is painted without gouging the paint/clearcoat? I never put mine back on because of that fear.

    I’ve never had an issue.

There's only a couple crimped areas / spots that actually hold that trim in place.
