Howdy new to Buicks but have been a gearhead for many years just picked up a Grandma 72 Skylark that is begging for some fresh paint, So i may have some very basic questions so bare with me as I learn from you'all. Thnx Bud. :TU:
Not sure if this the right spot to post but here goes. 72 factory 14" Magnum 500 wheels, or at least that is what i have heard everyone call them before, the chrome and black units, What is the best tire sizes front and back to give it a nice look and fill up these huge wheelwells??? Thnx Bud.
You might want to post that question in "the hides" section. This section is basically a gretting place to find out who you are and why you're here. Glad to see some more folks jump on the board, though:beer
Welcome to the boards guys! A good fit would be to get yourselves a set of 15x7 Buick rallye rims (they're heavy, but IMHO look best on the Buicks over aftermarket rims) and mount some 255-60-15 tires (of course Goodyear polyglas tires were original equipment on these rims and look really cool, but they handle like cr@p).
Nice ride, Bud! Aren't Magnum 500's Ford rims?? I think they are. They look like Buick rallyes. Do they look like this?
Well i was going to call them ralleys but did not want them confused with the ones that are painted body color and are refered to as ralleys most of the time, anyway i have the chrome and Black ones, I totally agree 15X7's are the way to go but i have these and they are in nice shap, so i am going to run them with some fresh rubber and call it good, Low dollar project on this car, if ya know what i mean. Thnx For the replys guys, Bud.
