I have them as well. The hardest part is measuring accurately and drilling the holes in the body cross member.
Thanks Harry, email rec'd. Thanks Larry, I was thinking the same and attempting without a helper of coarse...
The Bar is installed and was relatively easy, but for laying on the floor of the garage...a lift sure would have been nice all these years.... Getting the mounting holes just right is the most challenging aspect and keeping to the correct measurements. In the upper cross member need to locate as to not interfere with the inside diagonal brace connection on the outer side while not getting them too far back to interfere with the rolled edge on the bottom of the cross member, which I ended up too close to on the passenger side so I had to clearance that lip with a grinder. Non issue. My QP 9" rear has a jack pad on the bottom around the drain plug and is making contact with the bar, but not preventing the bar to sit where it wants to. I will observe that over time to determine if it is ok or if I need to modify the jack pad a bit. I took the Street Sleeper out for about a 1 hour test run, launching etc... No rattles, noises, pops etc. I do notice the effectiveness of the bar so expect good things at the track. Need to tune carb still. Thanks Jim Rogers for hooking me up with a good used set up saved money. MarkO
