I bought a comp cams adjustable pushrod measuring tool and have my measurements for my new pushrods at 0 lash. Question is, how much length do I need to add to the pushrod that I order? How far down into the lifter is best? 455, KB C118 cam, stock 71 rockers. TIA jess in ky

This is the TA Performance instruction sheet on Roller Rockers, but the preload recommendations are the same, 0030-.060". Aluminum heads grow a bit more than iron heads, so a bit more preload is called for. Some lifters are also short travel with a high refresh rate, and they call for minimum preload. Such were the Johnson Roller lifters I now use. No more than 1/2 turn (.025") on the roller rocker, past 0 lash.
