I was on the Southern State Parkway (3 lanes each direction) early sunday morning minding my own (@ 65 mph)......when i see an AC Cobra replica coming on strong in the rear view. As he approached, I slowed and just as he was next to me I gave a nice blip of the throttle to let him hear what he couldn't see:Brow: What i saw was a badge on the side that proclaimed "427". What he saw was"400" but what he heard was "462" His momentum carried him about 5-6 cars ahead but he was coasting and slowing to try and get beside me, but i kept off the gas so I could get a good 2nd gear dig - 60.....55.....50.....and I held it there - he finally braked to get back to where i was We rode next to each other for about 5 seconds when i heard him downshift and bring the revs up - I took this as my signal and nudged the shifter into 2nd while simultaniously trying to shove my right foot through the floor boards The end of second at 5800 rpms put him at my rear bumper....the shift to third and his manual shift to 4th ?? gave me at least another 1/2 car and at 110 I let off with him at least a full car behind my rear bumper.....just the right distance to read the Big "GS" emblem on the trunk lock He was a real gentleman and gave me a genuine pumping :TU: :TU: as we slowed to sub-warp speeds..... probably the only decent run he's gotten It was Hot and Tasty ....but it definately didn't taste like chicken !!! ...more like Victory
Mongoose.....hmmmm I kinda like that ! only thing is that would limit my appetite to only one thing - FORDS !!! ......and we all know how boring hunting and killing they can be:laugh: :grin: :laugh:
