I've noticed he's been saving pictures for referance and things like that. He went racing with me last year for the first time in thirteen years and I believe he's hooked! His GTP did some 14.90s including a SWEET heads up race with a 92 Z-28 that he defeated 14.91 verses 14.98. I love a good race. Anyway, any of you guys know of any sitting around? Engineless? Projects someone gave up on? We have a line on an extremely rust destroyed one, but hey, parts is parts. How about a normal 69 Rambler hardtop? Lifes too short to worry about numbers matching. We just wanna see some red, white, and blue haulin butt down the strip. So whatta youns know about? I know this is a Buick site, but some of you guys know other cars as well. The idea of doing some racing with my brother is very cool!

    Dan,

I've got one sitting here at my house... in 1/64th Johnny Lightning scale. :Dou: I love those cars '69s... my dad had a '69 4 door sedan as his daily driver about 10 years or so ago, and it was like a Timex watch - takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. Had a 250? straight six. And an ugly shade of green!

I hope you guys can find one so that you guys can have some good races of your own! The hood scoop on those cars were pretty cool!

    Good luck!

Dan, that would be infinitly cool. Seen a few of those AMC's around, mostly up north of us in Kenosha county Wisconsin where they were all made. Allways liked the AMX's but the SC's have a certain something that makes ya want to slam your right foot down.

Yes, get the AMC. I had a Big Bad Blue '69 AMX 390 4-speed for years and loved every minute of that car. I'm still looking for it and hope to buy it back. I had a factory cross-ram on it and it was a real street terror back in the '80's. They run very hard with very little work. By the way, I still have the cross-ram and a Rebel Machine hood scoop if anyone is interested.:Brow:
