i got a 350, and your best bet for carburation, is to go with edelbrok(my spelling sux) man im telling you i have a freshly rebuilt 350 and man when me and my buddy's got this engine tuned in im telling ya this enging had more throttle response than my dads 69 vette i had a amc guy really impressed, no hesitation-instant throttle, the more gas you give it the better it sounded, the engine damn near jumps outa the engine bay...............lol.............im not kiddin tho

it's a shame tho i had to teer it apart because of bad head gasket, antifreeze in the oil.:(

What model carb are you running?
My buddy had a 225 CI Slant Six mopar and swapped a edlebrock in place of his holley, made a huge difference, throttle responce really picked up... and tuning it was real simple.
How hard was it to modify the carb linkage to work right?

    edlebrook carb.

im running a 600 edlebrock, but its going to be pumped up to a 650, don't know how it will react being a 650 but ill see (should be better you figure 600 is awsome 650 should be better)!!!!!!:TU:

as far as the linkage goes it should fit up being edlebrock is almost the same body stile carb as a quad.

I have an Edelbrock ( I checked the spelling) Performer 600 on my Skylark and like it very much. It's a great carb for a semi-stock 340 or 350.

I just pulled the edelbrock 600 off my 350 and am about to trash it. I threw on a QJet 800 and it flies!!! Better response than the edelbrock...much better. I also did a couple mods to the QJet to help drink more gas. I figured I should help the terrorists a little more.

Q-jet over any Deadbroke, any day of the week.

I couldn't believe the increase in throttle response even the first time I started it up!!!!! Incredible difference between the performer and the qjet (properly built).

i don't know how you guys are having problems with the edlebrock...........and the Quadra junks get so slopy after awhile, they can't be better than an edlebrock.........and the way there setup is sooo different with the two big dumps in the back and the two small dumps in the front i think with q-jets you get to much gas to the 5,7,6,8 cylinders, not many racers use quads so thats a provin fact that there not as good as something like holly or edlebrock, look at edlebrock there damn near the same as a carter, hey if your going to throw the edlebrock 600, ill take it off your hands, it's worth something to me cause i know they work
