Has any one seen the black 73 GS that had "SIMS BUICK" on the rear 1/4 panels at the '99 GSCA Nats in Columbus, OH? There was a thank you on the trunk relating to an Amoco in Warren, OH, and I think it had the trans pulled possibly due to breakage at the time. I'm guessing somewhere in Ohio as it had Ohio historical vehicle tags on it at the time. I haven't seen it anywhere since, and I'm trying to keep track of this car as I would have an interest in purchasing it some day should the owner decide to part with it. :3gears: o No:
Not too long back there was a write up I believe of this car in the GS X-tra through GSCA. Do you see that article? Might give you more info.
Car IS in Ohio, Built By Tom Rose of Warren, and Run under Sim's Sponsorship. Was sold to Tim Takach in Youngstown in I Think the late 70s, and was in his Garage until a few years ago when the current Owner got the car. Last I knew, car was still in the Original Paint with the Gold Leaf Lettering still on it. Again, I think it was either the Last, or next to last of the cars Tom had. Others being Great Scat, Salvation Jane, Little Joe, "Tom's Tinkertoy", the Roy C. Eaton Kendall car, other Rudy Sim's car or cars (I think there was a 71 or 2) ZULU 1 (ZL1 Camaro) and the Opel GT that Richard Lassiter had/has?. Tom had or built some others as well. Last I knew, car had LOW miles Showing, dispite the 4:33 gears. Tim played with it on a few quick runs around the neighborhood, but I don't remember the car ever really being on the Street. JR Wills
