I'm relatively new to the site ,new to buicks but not to cars. I'm restoring my 71 skylark to be a nice driver, removed the inner fenders to start bodywork and noticed they were pretty rusty. I was wondering if anyone has left these of and if so how does it look. Any help is appreciated
A lot of chevelle guys, with big engines in their cars, remove the fender lines. looks awful. By the way, do not drive that car in a rain storm if the liners are removed.
Thanks the left one can be saved have to see about the right one I'm new to restoring cars now I just have to try and fix rear window rust
The passenger side is available reproduction complete, and as patch panel repairs. Mike Garrison (don't remember his name on here) makes patch panels for the radiator core support for both sides.
Here is a 71 inner fender I have for sale. The issue today is shipping costs for something this size. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?250430-71-72-A-Body-LH-Inner-Fenders-For-Sale&highlight=
