Anyone buy the new inner fender seals lately? I am not finding any that list the staples as part of the package. Who makes the best ones? My NOS innners do not have holes:rant: I guess I will have to drill them

    I've got the same problem.
I was going to use the ones from AMK, should I not?

1/2 inch is correct measured off my old inner fenders and they are steel any chance we can get stainless?

That would mean the ones from AMK are too small. :af:
Will have to see what I can find at the Lowes or Home Depot I guess, unless someone else has an idea?

John, A half inch staple hole? Are you going to drive a truck through? ..... I bought a set a few years back from Cars. They were perfect and have staples.

It also takes some work to fold the staples over. I always puncture my thumb.:TU:

No................. 1/2" wide staples and I plan on using a small nail set to set the staples it has a concave for the mail to sit in.

When I did mine , I turned the inner fenders upside down on some carpet. Then I aligned the seal and drilled through the factory holes into the new seals. Yes it was a pain.

I guess you can't take some sort of high powered staple gun and ram it through? I'm about to do mine, I guess I'll tediously drill the holes and hope for the best.

When you have NOS inner fenders there are no holes:Dou: I wil probably just use the staples to mark them and try my luck

piece of piano wire from the hobby shop or better hardware store works very well too. IMHO it's actually better because you can make them long then cut them shorter after bending with a pair of side cutters.

An electric staple gun doesn't do the job - just an FYI. Then, I tried to do it manually and boy what pain.

Pneumatic may be the way to go.

Installed the staples by hand and used the old shield as a template. It looks better in person, boy this was a pain. You can tell someone just quickly stapled it in place.

I hope it looks okay when it's back together.
