I have the factory bar on my car and it is sufficient for most things. What is your goal with the car? Do you wish to start auto crossing or drag racing or just the gee-whiz factor? For what it is worth, I have the Hellwig on the rear of my 2003 Tundra and it fits well. I think it is a well made and designed product. I would not hesitate to use their bar on my car if I was without a factory bar.
I have a Hellwig on the front and it works great. Have never cared for the HR bar on the rear except for drag racing. The Hellwig is designed like most of the current OEM's rear bar. Also Hellwig is considering the relationship between the front and rear bar. Glad you pointed this out because I am looking for a new rear bar and this looks like the way to go.
Doug, The Hellwig rear bar that I linked mounts the same way as the HR bar. It is half the price though. It isn't just for drag racing, it has definite handling benefits.
Larry, Just my opinion on being drag oriented. I have a ton of respect for Paul and what he does but I do think their focus is drag racing. The HR bar is really beefy (1.25) and you cannot adjust. If I was building a drag race oriented car the HR is the way to go. For a balanced street car I really like the Hellwig, especially for the difference in cost.
The HR bar is hollow, and I really don't think it is 1 1/4", I could be wrong. You can adjust the pre load with the Heim joints. The bar and kit is real quality stuff, and yes, I agree, it is aimed at drag racing. I've seen that bar straighten the launch on 9 second cars. Amazing. But I noticed a big improvement in handling on the street with it. I think the Hellwig bar is the way to go for most street cars though, and yes, the roll stiffness is adjustable at the lever arm.

I have the Spohn Pro-series rear anti-roll drag sway bar set-up and it is outstanding. It includes a 1 5/16" solid bar, 5/8 spherical rod ends with teflon race. Spohn is heavy Hellwig is tubular and lighter Holds my GS solid even with front bar removed! Like the way the bar dips back of the diff cover too. Not sure a out the durability of the Hellwig links but time will tell.
I really like my BELLTECH sway bars. 1.5" front and 1.25" rear IIRC. Maybe paid $250-300 for the pair brand new. Turned the boat nearly into a corner carver...LOL.
