I understand what Dave is saying in the video and at this point, I agree with what he is saying. I’m not a fan of him using the F word but I get the point. But, at the risk of this thread going off the rails and being locked, I would somehow like to keep this thread topic to investing and not let it become a political discussion.
Investing is legal gambling unless you are an insider. Then it is theft. That's why I like old cars. I know they aren't a great investment but if an EMP is set off in America, I can drive my cars just fine without a radio. No computers to fry and I have spare distributors for the MSD-powered car. My Honda and Lexus will be useless hunks of plastic and aluminum.
I'm not selling anything. I'm holding on to everything I have, even the losers as they are generally contra funds. When everything else slides into the gutter, they usually do better. I'm waiting for a buying opportunity as I have accumulated a some excess cash and I don't need another Buick.
Wall street has been very interesting to watch these past couple of weeks. Personally I hope they keep the pressure up and a few of them rich 1%'s go bankrupt! What's good for the goose is good for the gander, as the old saying goes. Lol Keith
So to catch up the ones not following everything. Everyone knows buy low sell high. But there is another way of doing it called short selling. (I'm not a fan of it and I think everyone would be ok with out doing it, but back to the idea) In a short you would first sell a stock at a high price and in a certain period of time buy the stock at hopefully a low price. Effectively buying and selling a stock in reverse order if you thought a stock was going to crash. (This is the over simplified explanation) What the reddit people did was after the hedge funds shorted the stock the reddit people drove up the stock and forced the hedge fund guys to buy high and sell low.

BitChute From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Type of site Online video platform Available in English Created by Ray Vahey Parent Bit Chute Limited URL bitchute.com Registration Optional Launched January 2017; 4 years ago Current status Active BitChute is a video hosting service known for accommodating far-right individuals and conspiracy theorists, and for hosting hateful material.[a] The platform was created in 2017 to allow video uploaders to avoid content rules enforcement on YouTube,[13] and some creators who have been banned from YouTube or had their channels barred from receiving advertising revenue ("demonetized") have migrated to BitChute.[1
The reason that rumble and BitChute are enjoying a HUGE influx of people migrating to them for information is because of Facebook and YouTube’s fascist censorship of anything that doesn’t match the new world order agenda. Big tech is terrified for the truth to be spread around the world, it’s a huge coverup. I won’t get political, this isn’t the place. BitChute and Rumble are allowing freedom of expression, right or wrong people have the right to express their opinion. By the way is anyone keeping track of the conspiracy theories that have become “conspiracy facts” in 2020?
How does Wikipedia’s view of this online video platform have anything to do with our investment topic? as I stated earlier, let’s keep this to investing tips and ideas rather than turn it into something political.
Very smart up to date investment info here: https://x22report.com/aiovg_videos/...-in-turmoil-gold-will-be-activated/?nonitro=1
The injection of politics into this thread occurred with Sean's posting of a reference to Bitchut. It is a known political extremist website. If you know that and want to accept investment advice from there, that is up to you. Other members may not be on top of what Bitchut really is. I would hate to see any of the other V8 members rely on Bitchut as a credible source for investment advice and lose a dime of their hard earned money. If it upsets you for me to point this out, you are going to remain upset for a longtime.
