Can someone tell me where to position the jack on my riv? Someone has sprayed paint on the jack instructions decal and I don't want to damage anything by placing it in the wrong way...That, + I never used a jack like that before, my other cars have had a different mechanism... I figured out how to make it go up/down, so now I just need to figure out where to place it :)

i'm guess you're referring to a bumper jack...i'd retire that and go invest in a nice hydraulic floorjack and a couple stands, that way you can reliably jack up the car by the frame, front crossmember or rearend instead of the bumpers.

You'll end up warping the bumpers slightly if you use the bumper jack. If you don't have access to another one, you want to locate the bumper brace and place it directly in line with it. Do not put the jack anywhere else or you will surely bung it up.

Thanks, I didn't know it was a "bumper jack"... I'll definately go for a floorjack as my bumpers are in mint condition and I don't want to damage them! Thanks!
