anybody else ever mess with one before? I thought it was a very neat carb. IT one a 71 skylark with a 250. The linkages were cool. the power piston is mechanically opened, not vacuum like a q-jet, and the acellerator pump linkage passes through the botttom of the carb into the float bowl. Very neat with its bi-metal idle compensator. any body else ever mess with one?
Yup, Rochester made some neat and well-designed carbs. If I could figure out how to put an MV on my old Ford Inline 200...
I put the carb on the buick yesterday. it runs and performs great. With the 3.42s that skylark will actually spin the tires a bit if ya floor it now, instead of stalling like it did before. what a neat carb.
