    Welcome!

One thing about old nailhead engines; - they hate bad gas. Hand crank the motor over once you throw the mystery oil in it before you put plugs in. Then dump the gas tank, and run new gas in it. I once started a dormant nail that had been sitting for 20 years and promptly blew the #7 piston to bits because of the old gas.

Not many engines like old/bad gas. I'm sorry to hear of the blown piston! I've never heard of that happening due to bad gas before. I wonder what the bad gas did to cause such and unfortunate happening? Learn something new everyday.

Well I will be there even though its raining, a heck of a way to end the dry spell on Buick day, I made it through the 2007 Downpour. This one doesnt seem like it will be to bad. Bring umbrella`s just in case. If I bring the needed gear it usually dont rain. So I will bring it for Luck.:Brow:
my paint looks better in the rain, cant see the chips:grin:

I'll be looking out for you Gary. I printed out a "cheat sheet" with some of our local members (Like yourself) avatars and names to help me find you. (and remember who I'm looking for)

I hope you do not need to keep the ragtop down! I do suppose we in the northwest are known for being pale skinned mossy footed blue-poly-tarp-campers & cruisers for some reason though, right?

Being prepared does seem to divert the clouds around us some at times, with some luck! You better bring the luck, I may have used mine up for a while with my Electra purchase!

Yes, timing is everything. Just two days ago I was trying to remember to wear sunblock before going out to dig fence-post holes and plant crops.

I'm glad to see rain though as my wife and I own some woodland acreage with a reservation close by selling fireworks, and tourists and travelers that visit the area often remembering to bring camp gear and party paraphernalia but leaving any or all common sense back at home.

I'll keep fingers and toes crossed for a dry event though! I would like to see the top down on your '64!

    Hey Gary,

I see you are a W.O.T. Member. At the risk of sounding Way Out There or clueless...

What the heck does W.O.T. really stand for?

Thanks in advance for the education!

If I may be serious for a second: (I'm not sure what punctuation is appropriate here, so I used the one that looked serious)
There is't too many things that top the feeling you get from reviving a piece of automotive history that has been rusting in some a$$holes back yard..

I completely forgot what I was going to say. S#$t!!
