I think I am gonna make it and my buddy here Gary is gonna go. Scott HAS to find a couple quick tenths in his GN before winter sets in. RIGHT Scott ?? Todd think you could make it ? Anyways.....................

Just wanted to post up and see what yall were thinking. Maybe we could meet up again and have a little fun one more time before the snow flies...... Let me know and I will watch for yall.

    Dave,
With all of the rain today, I might be there. Wasn't able to pour the new floor last Sat. so this Sat. might be the day. I don't know if I can get the floor poured and make it to Kearney by 2:00.:( . Sunday is out because of family. Will let you know later.

I'll be there! I went to the wifes class reunion Saturday so I'm not in the dog house just yet.:Brow: I ordered a new set of BFG drag radials today that are a little taller than my slicks, we'll see what happens to my times.

I almost forgot to ask, who was the big dog at Atwood? Rumor I heard was Jim Gibson with the Chebby powered Buick. Whats the story? I want to hear some braggin'.

Well I'm ready ( i think, lol). Got the new wheels on and the rear of the car sitting down where its supposed to be now. NO MORE "stink buggin" for me. All I have to do is set the bags and go. Only thing for me now though is, I won't be able to make it for Saturdays deal. Gonna have to run Sundays program and call it for the winter :( . Thought my sub was gonna drive for me so I could make Saturday, but he rolled a truck at his work and wants the weekend off to help re-coup. Couldn't argue with that so I'm gonna just have to get my "fix" on Sunday. Still be there Saturday afternoon/early evening though.

Scott as far as Atwood goes...........Yea Jims 67' was the fastest car there and he had no problem repeatedly reminding everyone of that, by running the car. Last I heard he was up in the 15-20 lap range for the afternoon, and ran his 10 gallon cell empty. Not bad for 5 hours, he was just beating the car to death and it just kept' coming back for more.:TU: . VERY impressive !!!

BUT.............I would have to say that Mike and Sue Verbas 64' v-6 turbo car was the "bomb" for the race. The ole' hicks here didn't know anything about a turbo till' last weekend. One of the starters at the race, is on my bowling team, as is the organizer. We were talking last night about it at mens league, and Mitch(the starter) told me that one of the times that Mike drove the car up for a pass, he stopped him, walked over to the window, made him roll it down, and told Mike that "he wasn't gonna let him make another pass till he told him what he had in that thing", lmao. He was all smiles even last night when he told the story, it was funny. Anywaysssssssssssssssssss.

Well gotta run, thats about it. I know that a couple of the Colo. guys are gearing up for the May run now after the fun last week. We'll have to see. Now I am gonna get ready for this weekend. God willing nothing will happen and I will get one more good raceday in before this winter................

    Later.............................

p.s. Hey Scott..................beers at the shop Saturday night ????? You provide the parking lot, and we'll let Gary provide the beer, lol. May end up parking the cars there anyways, so DON'T have us towed.........:moonu:  :beer
